The Royal Chace Hotel in Enfield, Hertfordshire, was the setting for the wedding of Charlie and Liam.
I wanted to save this post to be my last of the year because it was an incredibly special day for so many reasons and I wanted to end the year on a beautiful note.
I first met up with Charlie and Liam in January at a local pub to chat over the details of their forthcoming wedding and for us all to get to know each other. We chatted away and with every little detail that Charlie and Liam were telling me about their wedding I knew it was one that I didn’t want to miss! As luck would have it we all seemed to get along very well and I was booked for the wedding, I couldn’t have been happier!
The whole wedding really was a family affair. Starting with Liam designing Charlie’s engagement ring, then Liam wearing Charlie’s grandfathers suit, Charlie wearing her mother’s pearls, her brother designing the invites, her mother making the wedding cake and all the bunting! her grandfather organising all the flowers (which Charlie didn’t get to see until the day and oh my were they AMAZING!), it really did have an amazing feeling of family unity.
The ceremony was held at Mary Mother of God RC Church which was highly significant as it was the church that Liam attended as a child and just happens to be the the organist for too! The boys started off their day by popping along for a clean up at the church then swiftly off to purchase some fuel to keep them going for the morning in the form of Krispy Kreme doughnuts! The ladies were a little more civilised with champagne in the room!
The reception was at the lovely Royal Chace hotel where the Pavillion had been transformed with a vintage and music theme. It was simply a feast for the eyes and of course my camera!
Charlie looked simply stunning in her original vintage dress and I am sure you will agree has THE most beautiful smile! Of course it goes without saying that Liam looked incredibly handsome too!
To say I struggled immensely in choosing a very small (believe me this is small!) selection of images to show you is an understatement! I am the most indecisive of people at the best of times so this was a very hard task for me!
Big thanks as always go to my second shooter for the day and second half of ‘team GB’ Rob Grimes of Rob Grimes Photography, I couldn’t have done this day without him.
Thanks of course to Charlie and Liam for choosing me to photograph their special day, it will always hold a special place in my heart and I will never tire of looking at your images and remembering the beautiful day that you made happen.
My love and best wishes to you both for the new year and I hope that 2014 brings you many happy times.
